Deputy Director / Senior Assistant Director, Tech-Biz Development, Venture Creation and Growth, I& E
The Venture Creation & Growth (VCG) group within A*STAR Innovation & Enterprise leads spin-off activities at A*STAR. We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated individual to drive the commercialization of cutting-edge research and innovation. In this role, you will identify high-potential technologies in the semiconductor sector, develop viable business models, and create new ventures that create real-world impact.
Key Responsibilities:
Engage A*STAR researchers and internal/external stakeholders in spinoff creation-related activities
Develop partnerships with leading venture builders, corporate ventures and accelerators/incubators
Conduct competitive and market analysis of the target technologies
Organise and support venture creation and exploration programs
Develop a talent network to identify suitable co-founders for new ventures
Support portfolio management of existing A*STAR spin-offs
Qualifications:
Degree in Science, Engineering or a relevant field. A higher degree in Science, Engineering, or an MBA is advantageous.
More than 10 years of business/product development or technology marketing in semiconductor/electronics, Io T/sensors, and advanced computing-related industrial experiences.
Prior experience with start-ups, early-stage companies or venture capital firms (VC) is highly advantageous.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build relationships with founders, investors, and internal/external stakeholders.
Excellent time management skills, with the ability to multitask, prioritize, and stay organized.
