What will you be doing? Strip and reassemble of fixed plant equipment such as; gear boxes, exciters, pumps, bogies ranging from 200kg to 20 tonnes. Use precision measuring instruments to determine the accuracy, clearance and fit of assembled and fabricated metal parts. Operating equipment and carrying out all work in a safe and efficient manner. Diagnosing faults where required Basic report writing Taking ownership of your own work What do you need? Australian recognised Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate. A strong commitment to HSE and QA as a priority, and the ability to work unsupervised and function well within a team environment. Hydraulic experience would be advantageous.
