Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedural skills proficiently. Seek appropriate consultation from tertiary hospital professionals within your expertise. Build rapport, trust, and ethical relationships with patients and families. Extract and synthesize relevant information from patients, families, and other professionals. Tokoroa hospital sees approx. 14,000 presentations annually through its emergency department, with a 17-bed inpatient ward. We also support community palliative care, primary care clinics, and specialist visits from Waikato hospital. The site includes a primary birthing unit managed by midwives, with collaborative relationships with local primary health providers and community organizations.
