Occupational Therapist – Advanced Rotation Fixed Term 0.4 FTE Join Te Whatu Ora at a key time of change where you will meaningfully contribute to our kaupapa of creating a more equitable, accessible, cohesive, and people-centred health system.

We have an exciting opportunity for an emerging career occupational therapist to join our team as an Advanced Rotator working through the Surgical, Medical, Orthopaedic services in the Western Bay of Plenty.

In a future state a Rehabilitation rotation will be added as another area of growth.

This position has arisen from a staff member moving overseas.

You will work alongside the Clinical Lead Occupational Therapists and team leader to ensure excellent service delivery, development of this service and the staff working in these specific areas whilst having the opportunity to grow your toolkit of transdisciplinary knowledge as you journey in your career.

Our preferred candidate will have: Exemplary interpersonal skills Preferred but not essential experience in a hospital setting working on acute wards A current Annual Practising Certificate Passion and a drive to make a real difference through your work and have a strong cultural awareness A willingness to work alongside other Allied Health clinicians and leaders to help shape this new service Situated in the sunny eastern coast of New Zealand's North Island, the Bay of Plenty really is just that, offering vast golden sand beaches, bush clad mountains, lush farmlands and more.
