Dunes Revegetation Operator The vegetation on the sand dunes plays a critical part in keeping our dune structure stable and our coastline and environment looking beautiful.
We are currently on the lookout for a Dunes Revegetation Operator to join our team.
This includes spraying of plant pests, hand pulling weeds, planting, chainsaw use and line trimmer use.
Location & Service Area This role will be based out of our Aviation Avenue, Mount Maunganui depot.
This role is very hands on and physically tough, you will be working in all weather conditions in full view of the community.
Hours & Uniform Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm (40 hour per week)Full uniform, PPE, wet weather gear, and work boots are provided Start ASAPResponsibilities Spraying plant pests Hand pulling weeds Planting Chainsaw use Line trimmer use Qualifications & Skills Honesty and integrity Relevant experience ideally in revegetation, dune care, gardening, landscaping, or labouring Must be comfortable handling and spraying agrichemicals Ability to use a mobile phone and learn our workflow app A positive attitude and a willingness to listen and learn The ability to deliver a high quality of work and take real pride in what you do A track record of being a reliable team player The ability to follow and implement Health and Safety guidelines Be physically fit and able to work outdoors on your feet all day Preferred Training / Certifications First Aid Growsafe How to Apply Please note we will not be accepting applications via email.
