We are looking for a community leader, eager to enable and empower more communities to participate in General Elections. This role will focus on regional community engagement and relationship management for the Auckland region.

This is an opportunity to connect with priority communities across Aotearoa to ensure that they are engaged and participating in the democratic process. The Community Engagement Manager will lead the Commission’s engagement approach, including planning and managing strategies, initiatives, and goals. The success of this role will be building sustainable relationships with community groups and wider stakeholders to ensure effective partnerships.

We are looking for an innovative leader that can build an effective team and role model authentic engagement.

Key requirements:
Ability to take initiative and work effectively under pressure
Cultural competency. This could mean understanding Kaupapa Māori or being in touch with Pasifika values
Demonstrable people and community leadership experience
Experience planning and managing engagement projects
