Senior Policy Planner
New Zealand, Southland, Southland,
Modified February 13, 2024

We have an opportunity for a motivated and energetic individual to join our Planning and Building Services team as a Senior Policy Planner.

You will be part of a policy team that encourages innovation and is focused on providing responsive user-friendly services.

As a Senior Policy Planner you will be involved in a diverse range of planning and policy activities predominantly researching, developing, processing and reporting on Resource Management Policy - with the District Plan being the key focus.

While our District Plan has recently been updated, there is still a variety of plan development and implementation required which is relevant to the community's aspirations and to align our policies with regional and national direction.

Within this role you will plan and implement effective public consultation processes, including providing guidance and advice to a wide range of clients, lead submission processes and continue to foster relationships with our community.

We are looking for someone who holds a Bachelor's Degree in Resource Management or a related discipline, with at least five years' experience working in Resource Management or a related field.

However, we may consider a less experienced planner who is wanting to further develop their policy knowledge.

If you are looking for an opportunity where you will not only contribute to the improvement of our region but also make a real-life difference to the community, then apply today.

At Invercargill City Council we pride ourselves on our values - positivity, respect, responsibility and above and beyond.

Finding the right fit for our team is really important to us and we work hard to provide an environment reflective of these values.

For more information please see the full job description or contact the Invercargill City Council on (03) 211 1777.

Applications close 26 January 2024.

Please note applications will be processed as they are received and we encourage you to apply early as this advert may be removed at any time.

Successful applicants must be legally entitled to live and work in New Zealand.

While all applications will be reviewed, first priority will be given to those applicants who are currently residing in New Zealand.#J-18808-Ljbffr
