Findlaters Yamaha has a long-standing history in the South Otago area, operating as a trusted business in Balclutha for over 50 years. Findlaters Yamaha supports the farming sector around Balclutha, including the Catlins, upper Southland and lower Dunedin area. We are seeking a full-time parts interpreter to join our team. As a parts interpreter, you will be responsible for identifying and supplying the right parts to customers & technicians, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all transactions. You will also be responsible for opening workshop jobs, charging parts accurately and completing stocktakes when required. This is a great opportunity for someone with a passion for automotive, industrial or mechanical industries who enjoys problem solving & customer interaction. Key Responsibilities: Assist customers and service technicians in identifying and sourcing required parts. Process customer orders, quotes, and inquiries in a timely and professional manner. Maintain and update parts inventory and stock levels. Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to ensure the availability of required parts. Provide expert advice on parts compatibility and usage. Process invoices, warranties, and returns as required. Stay up to date with product knowledge and industry developments. Hours of work are Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with the occasional Saturday mornings. About You: Previous experience in a parts interpreting role (preferred but not essential). Strong knowledge of automotive and small engine parts and components. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail.
