About the role We'relooking for an experienced and passionate people leader to lead our People, Safety and Wellness (PSW) team to work towards their vision of 'Our People Thrive'.

This vision is reflected in all that the team champions for theorganisation including learning and development, safe work, excellent workingconditions, organisational culture, wellness initiatives and much more.

Key elementsof the position will include: ·Leadingthe development and implementation of PSW strategies and policies ·Providingsound PSW advice and support across the organisation ·Supportingmanagers to continue to implement best working practices ·Organisationalsalary budget management ·Developingand maintaining partnerships both internally and with other Councils andorganisations to collaborate and share services ·Managingkey PSW projects such as change management, culture development and reward andrecognition programmes.

This is afull time permanent position based at our Te Aroha office.

About you To besuccessful in this role you will need to have a positive and enthusiasticattitude, excellent communication skills and the ability to lead, motivate,support and develop a team.

You'llneed the ability to think at a strategic level while also enjoying theoperational aspects of the role.

You will behighly organised, with great time management skills and attention to detail.

Our ideal applicant will have apassion for building connections, be open to collaboration and have strongmediation and problem solving skills.

Atertiary level degree in Human Resource Management and/or Health & Safety isessential.
