Te kowhiringa | The Opportunity Working within the Tararua Alliance, a partnership between Tararua District Council and Downer, the Performance Manager will proactively measure, drive and report on the success of the strategic objectives within the Tararua Alliance. Embedded within the Tararua Alliance, the Performance Manager will be responsible for driving quality and excellence across all activity areas. As a key member of the Alliance Management Team the Performance Manager ensures deliverables are achieved through best use of available financial, human and physical resource to provide a highly customer focused, lean orientated and responsive service delivery. This role will work closely with both the Network Outcomes and Delivery staff within the Tararua Alliance, as well as external suppliers to ensure confidence that all aspects of the activity are delivered on time, within budget, and to a high standard. You will also: Support, implement and adhere to H&S policies and procedures. Support a culture that supports and maintains zero harm, environmental and sustainability practice and management. Manage, prepare and co-ordinate all Alliance audits and report on results. Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports; particularly Key Result Areas / Key Performance Indicators and Actual vs. TCE reporting. Manage, coach and assist direct reports to achieve their targets and improve their competency. Nga pukenga matua | Important Skills Strong knowledge and all-round experience in civil maintenance and construction. Good communication skills with the ability to liaise between operational, technical and management staff. A strong track record of positive leadership behaviours that empower others.
