Job Description About the Mahi (role)Are you a dedicated and enthusiastic Physiotherapist looking to advance your career in a supportive and collaborative environment?Look no further... an exceptional opportunity awaits you in our Lower Hutt team to progress into a senior physiotherapist role. You will help support and guide our junior physiotherapists within our integrated rehabilitation team. You will foster a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring the team delivers outstanding rehabilitation services. You will embrace a collaborative approach to patient care by working closely with a fully integrated team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, exercise therapists, hand therapists, psychologists, and other allied health professionals. You will undergo training to become a lead provider under ACC's Integrated Care Pathway, offering optimized rehabilitation with timely access to specialist opinions. You will contribute to the development and implementation of effective care pathways for enhanced patient outcomes. This role is full-time Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week. However, we can offer flexibility in work hours for the right candidate. Desired Skills and Experience About You This is a clinical role; therefore, you must have a Bachelor's Degree in Physiotherapy and a minimum of 3 years clinical experience in musculoskeletal outpatient physiotherapy. A postgraduate qualification in musculoskeletal physiotherapy or readiness to work towards obtaining such a qualification is also welcomed. To be successful in this role you will: Have a strong commitment to evidence-based practices in rehabilitation, staying updated with the latest evidence and contributing to the implementation of best practices within the team. Have excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to convey complex medical information clearly and understandably to patients and colleagues. A proven ability to build rapport with a diverse population, fostering a trusting and supportive relationship with patients. Have essential experience in key working rehab contracts, showcasing your ability to take a leadership role in patient care and coordination. Be able to self-manage well and maintain a reasonable workload. Have sound computing skills (must be proficient in using emails and Microsoft Teams). Have a strong work ethic. Work well in an MDT setting. Commit to professional development. Have a current practicing certificate to work in New Zealand. Have Professional indemnity insurance and Professional Body Membership. About the Lower Hutt Team The TBI Health Lower Hutt clinic is within a short walking distance of the Queensgate Shopping Centre and the Hutt Riverbank walkway, which is a great option for relaxing lunchtime walks. You will be based in the heart of the Lower Hutt CBD with easy access to public transport and plenty of car parking options available in the vicinity. Be part of a team that has achieved some great things in the equity space as well. They continue to increase the cultural capability of the team and build new networks in the community with Māori health providers and local iwi. The team is a social, outgoing, and happy group!
