We are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist with solid experience across adult and paediatric general health settings to join our Physiotherapy and Allied Health team based at Wairarapa Hospital, this position is an outpatient position, however there will be the opportunity to be part of our rotation system, allowing you the ability to move between inpatient and outpatient community as we look to expand our services.
This position will work 60 hours per fortnight 0.75 FTE, working across Monday to Friday, days of work and hours to be discussed, there may be additional fixed term hours available up to 1.0 FTE, this will be discussed at interview.
About the Team/Service/ Location If you have a passion for working with clients to maximise care across a range of clinical areas (acute medical, rehabilitation and paediatrics) in a secondary hospital setting this is the role you have been waiting for.
Our Physiotherapy team is a small, dynamic team that is well supported by the allied health and multidisciplinary teams and has close links with regional and national physiotherapy networks.
The Physiotherapist is an integral part of multidisciplinary team function and in this role, you will be working closely with the clinical team to assess and manage acute presentations and longstanding impairments, contribute to discharge planning and provide ongoing intervention to support people to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities.

New Zealand Registered Physiotherapist with current annual practicing certificate.
Minimum of 2 years clinical practice, including experience across musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurological settings.
A current driver's licence We are also looking to expand our Pelvic health service, so if you have experience in this setting, or a desire to improve Pelvic health we encourage you to apply.
