Job Description/Responsibilities The Process Engineer is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of specific projects and reliability-related activities for the Processing Department, applying engineering principles while striving to improve quality, productivity, and waste, ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments, and goals. Assist in identifying and planning annual capital projects within the department. Support the process by ensuring that projects are submitted, prioritized, and executed on time/budget. Train Processing Supervisors and Processors to improve technical skills and performance. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices. Analyze and resolve problems related to product quality. Help create a culture of "quality thinking" and prevention throughout areas of focus. Meet and exceed customer expectations through the support of Processing equipment and systems to deliver product on time within budget and to meet quality specifications. Troubleshoot operating problems, evaluate the situation, and coordinate resolution. Ensure processing efficiency within cost standards. Monitor efficiencies, quality, and production data to improve yields and throughput without sacrificing quality. Work with Processing, Quality, and internal and external Technical resources to analyze and resolve issues related to efficiency, processes, material, loss, and waste. Provide Engineering and Technical expertise to support the Processing Operation, including the Barrel Warehouse and Distillation, within safety, quality, budgetary, and regulatory guidelines. Support processing capacity planning and inventory accuracy efforts. Identify, streamline, and document the processing planning processes with a focus on improving efficiencies, reducing errors, and improving the quality of work. Utilize the priority system to enable focus on key priorities that will grow the company faster. Complete assigned tasks in a timely fashion. Monitor progress towards accomplishment of priorities, projects, and tasks. Ensure Processing operations meet regulatory requirements including OSHA, EPA, and TTB regulations. Take immediate corrective action when needed to stay in compliance. Focus on TGD Processing improvements to drive productivity and safety. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality, and Environmental Policies and Practices. Analyze and resolve problems relating to product quality in a timely manner to avoid loss of product and incorrect product being bottled. Qualifications/Requirements MUSTAbility to communicate with all levels of an organization. Ability to manage multiple projects at one time. Experience in a fast-paced environment. Detail-oriented. Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience. Implementation or project management experience. Strong analytical and technical skills. Strong planning and organizational skills. Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time. Experience in process design, implementation, and improvement. Familiarity with beverage processing and its associated equipment. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles. Experience in the Alcohol Beverage Industry or CPG overall. Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 50 pounds without assistance. Ability to work overtime if necessary. Strong communication skills. Ability to read and write. Ability to work near moving mechanical parts. Ability to pay attention to detail.
