Work Schedule Standard (Mon-Fri)Environmental Conditions Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance, adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards, cleanroom: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc. allowed, fluctuating temps hot/cold, loud noises (equipment/machinery), office, some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.), standing for full shift, strong odors (chemical, lubricants, biological products etc.), will work with hazardous/toxic materials. About Us: Join Thermo Fisher Scientific at our Penrose facility, producing world-class cell culture media and freeze-dried powder products under the Gibco brand, used globally in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The Role: We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our Biomanufacturing Unit. You'll process animal blood-derived material into sterile liquid and freeze-dried products. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday with shifts from either 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or 4:30 pm to 1:00 am, based on business needs. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily production activities following defined procedures. Maintain c GMP and ISO standards. Perform manual handling tasks and operate various machines. Communicate production issues to supervisors. Keys to Success: Education: A science-related qualification is optional. Experience: Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as on-the-job training is provided. Good mechanical proficiency. Skills: Strong attention to detail. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Physical Requirements: Work in a critical hygiene environment.
