About Us: Join Thermo Fisher Scientific at our Penrose facility, producing world-class cell culture media and freeze-dried powder products under the Gibco brand, used globally in the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. The Role: We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician to join our Biomanufacturing Unit. You'll process animal blood-derived material into sterile liquid and freeze-dried products. This full-time position operates Monday to Friday with shifts from either 9:00 am to 5:30 pm or 4:30 pm to 1:00 am, based on business needs. Key Responsibilities: Perform daily production activities following defined procedures. Maintain c GMP and ISO standards. Perform manual handling tasks and operate various machines. Communicate production issues to supervisors. Keys to Success: Education: A science-related qualification is optional. Experience: Preferred experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable but not essential, as on-the-job training is provided. Good mechanical proficiency. Skills: Strong attention to detail. Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively. Problem-solving and decision-making skills. Physical Requirements: Work in a critical hygiene environment.
