Role Overview
As a Process Worker at New Ground, you’ll support the hands-on production of our beverages by assisting Process Operators across a range of tasks including brewing, blending, cleaning, and pack-off. This is an entry-level role with no prior manufacturing experience required — just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
Production Support
Assist Process Operators in preparing ingredients and setting up workstations
Help manage raw materials, packaging supplies, and ingredient prep
Support basic brewing and blending tasks under supervision
Pack-Off Operations
Manually pack finished goods into cartons and pallets
Perform basic quality checks on packaging appearance and labelling
Keep the pack-off station tidy, organised, and stocked with materials
Brewing Support
Assist with preparation and setup of brewing equipment
Support the brewing of coffee to specific recipes and standards
Monitor time, temperature and volumes as directed by Process Operators
Help clean and reset brew tanks after each batch
Cleaning & Housekeeping
Conduct cleaning tasks across production areas in line with SOPs
Support end-of-day clean-down of equipment and surfaces
Ensure all waste and recycling is sorted appropriately
General Support
Follow directions from Process Operators to keep production flowing
Communicate clearly and respectfully within the team
Flag any issues, delays, or hazards immediately
Who We’re Looking For
No prior experience required, just a strong work ethic and good attitude
Physically fit and capable of lifting, standing, and repetitive tasks
Reliable, punctual, and willing to follow instructions
Enjoys working in a fast-moving, hands-on environment
Interested in building a career in the food or beverage industry
Growth & Development
Training is on the job, with opportunities to develop skills in food manufacturing
May progress to a Junior Process Operator role after 6–12 months of strong performance
Team members are encouraged to undertake relevant certificates (e.g., forklift licence, food safety)
Reviews are conducted every six months, focused on attitude, effort, and readiness to take on more responsibility
Promotions may include training bonds of up to 12 months if significant upskilling is provided
Working Hours & Conditions
Shift-based role, including evenings and weekends, depending on production demand
May involve night shifts and extended hours during peak periods
Work takes place in a factory setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and temperature variation
