We have an open-minded approach in our search for the perfect candidate—a strong technical product manager is needed with the ability to navigate firmware and hardware complexities can come in many forms.
While finding someone with this exact blend of skills may seem like uncovering a unicorn, we're willing to consider individuals who bring a diverse range of experiences to the table.
Whether you have a solid technical background coupled with startup experience, or you've previously led teams in hardware firmware development with a strong commercial slant, we're interested in hearing from you.
Alongside technical expertise, we value soft skills, attitude, and a collaborative mindset. If you're passionate about driving innovation, adept at leading teams through challenges, and have a knack for finding creative solutions in the tech landscape, we encourage you to reach out.
About the role:
Set the direction for a predominantly device product lines with strong cross over with software that contributes to our overall SAAS platform.
Play a significant role in our business and help our global customers to get the most value from the data our product provides to drive their businesses and to help to ensure safer more productive roads.
Execute our product vision and roadmap by identifying high value customer problems and working with our agile development teams to create and deliver intuitive solutions.
Product development at EROAD moves through two phases based on agile principles; the learning loop and the build loop. This is a critical role leading cross functional teams through each phase and is responsible for three primary areas:
What we build:

The core responsibility is figuring out what we need to build and prioritising when we build it. Product brings the strategic and business context to empower great decisions, so we focus on posing the right questions rather than dictating detailed solutions.
How we build it:

EROAD believes in collaborative partnerships where the Product team focuses on outcomes, while Engineering and UX focus on how we get there. Product’s main role in execution is to be the voice of the market and to make sure we achieve what we set out to.
Communicating with everyone:

Product is a key part of the glue that binds the development process together. Product managers communicate the “who, what, why and when” to the company and work closely with Marketing, Sales and Operations in our Australasian and North American in-market teams to spread the word to our customers.
About you:
A keen understanding of hardware capabilities and SAAS platform technology.
Strong commercial acumen, with a proven track record of managing products to deliver impactful customer solutions.
Appreciation of market and technology trends, with the ability to adapt and innovate continually.
Exceptional communication skills, capable of inspiring and leading teams across the organization.
Agile and customer-focused, with experience in hardware development lifecycles.
High empathy, resilience, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Creative problem-solving skills, with an attention to detail.
Research shows that women only apply for roles when they meet 100% of the role requirements while men apply when they meet 60% of them. We support gender equality; therefore, we encourage you to reach out to us if you are interested but don't feel you meet all the stated role requirements.
We believe that a diverse team makes us stronger, more innovative, and better able to serve our clients.
