We are looking for a Project Architect/Architectural Lead to join our in-house Design team in Wellington, Auckland or Christchurch.

Reporting to the Group Architectural Manager, you will perform the Lead Consultant role while managing the production of the architectural design for your projects.

You will lead a team of technicians on allocated projects based all over the country which contain both commercial and residential buildings that are designed in-house.

You will be an experienced Lead Consultant and line manager that can mentor and motivate the junior staff members to excel, be able to plan your own and your teams work to make sure your project and staff are set up to succeed.

Working in Summerset's Design team brings with it several unique aspects.

Our in-house design and construction teams provides exposure to the buildability and commercial aspects of the construction process through regular contact with experts within the same team.

Being part of a wider business also means stakeholders across different parts of Summerset, such as Marketing, Sales and Operations who are all involved in feedback to the Design team.

Our BIM process and innovation are industry leading.

What will your responsibilities be? Provide quality design outcomes for the people that use our villages Perform the lead consultant role on your projects High-quality documentation for Consent and Tender Manage and develop direct reports Management of building consent submission and approval process Manage BIM execution plan, BIM processes and Revit models Ensure Summerset design standards are met during construction and provide continual improvement feedback Construction Observation on villages across the country Who we are looking for? New Zealand Registered Architect or LBP3 qualified Experience in Lead Consultants role Proven technical ability to produce excellent quality construction and building consent documentation Experienced in line management of a team of graduates and technicians Detail focused on technical sound solutions and design outcomes.

Around 10 years' industry experience with a similar business or with a consultancy Revit software experience; BIM methodology and process experience Rendering and presentation documentation skills If this sounds like the role for you - click the apply button now!
