Your new company Your new role will be working for a public sector agency that seeks to continuously improve the lives of New Zealanders.

This agency provides administrative and support services to numerous senior representatives across New Zealand.

They are currently seeking a full-time Facilities Technician Lead to join their Buildings and Safety Unit.

This role is focused on Stakeholder Engagement and Risk Management and will require you to be 60% in the field and 40% in the office/at your desk.

Your new role Oversee all the areas of facilities - electrical, plumbing and HVAC.

Participate and support the BAS team with logistical staff, member and Minister moves.

Provide support, training and up-to-date information on processes, procedures and operating manuals as necessary.

Review permits and SSSP's.

Sourcing quotes from contractors.

Managing building compliance Respond to after-hour issues via the call-out roster (you will be required to be on call and available to respond to calls on a rostered basis) Draft monthly reports.

Supervise contractors work both planned and unplanned, including after-hours when required.

Liaise with senior members professionally via email and face to face.

Attend leadership meetings, take minutes, and follow up.

Process work orders, liaise with contractors via email and telephone to organise time/date for maintenance and process in the system.

Provide support to the Facilities Engineering Manager when required.

What you'll need to succeed Strong administration experience ideally within a construction / facilities-based company Experience liaising with contractors (plumbers, electricians, HVAC) preferred but not essential Excellent stakeholder and relationship management Strong written and verbal communication skills Full class 1 licence Be available to work full time and happy with working on call for after-hours issues on a rostered basis Be a resident or New Zealand citizen What you'll get in return A role where no two days are the same Permanent opportunity that offers ongoing professional development.
