We are excited to offer an incredible opportunity for an experienced Project Manager to join our dynamic distribution team at our New Plymouth depot, overseeing projects across the beautiful Taranaki region.

As a passionate and qualified Project Manager, you will manage customer-initiated works and capital projects, ensuring they meet safety, time, and budget requirements while adhering to Northpower's quality standards.

Your role will involve scheduling, planning, and liaising with clients, consultants, contractors, and design estimators to deliver cost-effective solutions.

Reporting to the Delivery Manager - Projects, you will play a key role in achieving outstanding results for both our customers and Northpower. Being the Project Manager, you will also be responsible for:-Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget-Taking your projects from scoping/pricing to completion -Complete and close out projects promptly, including financial reconciliation, job files, customer documentation, and contract performance feedback-Effectively manage customer interactions and arrangements-Accurately scope and deliver materials and contract resources-Manage the financial performance of active projects, including invoicing and work in progress-Prepare and review pricing and task plans for accuracy before submission-Occasionally support and lead design and estimating activities.

Ideally, candidates will have prior experience in Project Management and a strong grasp of effective project delivery.

Additionally, possessing the following would be beneficial:-Full Clean Class 1 Driver's Licence-Electrical Registration qualification would be beneficial-National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) Level 4 or equivalent-NZQA Unit Standards 18275 and 12300 or equivalent-Comprehensive industry knowledge and experience in distribution or construction sectors-Strong project management skills, with industry experience preferred but not essential-Financial literacy with an understanding of electrical distribution networks-Proficient in MS Project, Excel, Word, and Power Point-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English-Confident decision-maker and adept problem-solver-Ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders-Strong interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment-Strategic thinker with solid financial acumen This role will demand a high level of integrity and focus on safety and quality while achieving on-time completion of projects and hitting financial targets.
