Te mahi/The role As the Bicultural Competency Programme Lead, you will have a pivotal role in the successful roll out of this organisation-wide staff development offering, backed by the University's commitment to promoting bicultural understanding and responsiveness.

Your focus will be on learner and stakeholder engagement, learner success and efficient and effective delivery of the programme (Te Rito).

You will:• Be welcoming and inclusive in your approach to staff who are increasing their bicultural knowledge, skill and cultural competence.• Promote and implement roll-out of the Te Rito programme across the organisation.• Respond to programme enquiries and establish relationships with stakeholders and learners.• Support and encourage learner progress.• Facilitate both in-person and online wananga, promoting bicultural understanding and responsiveness to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.• Track learner progress and maintain a robust database ensuring comprehensive records and reports.• Schedule and coordinate delivery of the Te Rito programme.

Part of this role involves active contribution to the wider Organisational Development Learning & Development programme and work.

Candidates will have:• Proven experience establishing and maintaining respectful relationships with colleagues as clients.• Considerable experience facilitating, supporting and encouraging adult learning.• Experience with coordination and implementation of in-person and online learning offerings where high levels of customer service delivery are expected.• Practicing knowledge of Tikanga Maori.• Professional knowledge of Te Tiriti o Waitangi, bicultural competency development, current and appropriate practices within the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion space.

This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), permanent position, located in Dunedin.
