This is a fantastic opportunity to join the Maternal, Child and Youth Service to enhance health care services for the Whanganui community.

You will need to be a forward-thinking person motivated to contribute to a dedicated team.

The Clinical Nurse Manager (CNM) role is primarily accountable for providing clinical expertise, leadership, and management to support the Public Health nursing and allied health team.

The Clinical Nurse Manager will ensure the Public Health staff have the skills, knowledge and attributes to support tamariki, rangatahi and whanau to address health issues that impact them and the community.

The Clinical Nurse Manager enables the team to meet the requirements of Public Health standards, Ministry of Health Programmes, Te Whatu Ora, and Public Health policies which underpin the delivery of programmes and support to designated education centres (schools, early childhood education, alternative education, Kura and Te Kohanga Reo) and communities.

The Clinical Nurse manager will be part of the Maternal, Child and Youth Clinical leadership team but will also be required to develop relationships within the National Public Health Service.

To be successful in this role, you will have: Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand as a Registered Nurse Commitment to the completion of a postgraduate qualification.

At least five years of clinical experience.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills Commitment to ongoing professional development Commitment to culturally appropriate and whanau-centered care with a focus on equitable outcomes for Maori.
