Job Description - Qualitative The Lien Centre for Palliative Care (LCPC) at Duke-NUS Medical School invites applications for a Research Assistant / Research Associate to support ongoing qualitative research in palliative and end‐of‐life care.
The successful candidate will work closely with senior investigators on studies involving patients with serious illness, family caregivers, and healthcare professionals.
This role offers hands‐on experience in qualitative (and selected quantitative) palliative care research within a multidisciplinary and collaborative academic environment.
Key responsibilities Conduct in-depth interviews and focus group discussions with patients, caregivers, and healthcare professionals Manage qualitative data, including transcription, coding, and organisation Analyse qualitative data Prepare study‐related documents, including ethics submissions, progress reports, and study materials Liaise with clinical and institutional stakeholders as required Ensure compliance with ethical and regulatory requirements Qualifications Master's degree, or Bachelor's degree with 1‐2 years of relevant research experience, in a related discipline (e.g.
Public Health, Psychology, Social Sciences, Nursing, Life Sciences, or related fields)Strong organisational and communication skills Prior experience or demonstrated training in qualitative research methods; familiarity with quantitative methods is an advantage Bilingual in English and Mandarin or Malay, with the ability to conduct research interviews due to the nature of the work Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel Sensitivity and professionalism when working with palliative care populations If you are interested in working on cutting‐edge research projects in end‐of‐life palliative care, please submit your application today.
