Job Description We're seeking a dedicated professional to help create a safe, comfortable, and supportive residential community that promotes student well-being and academic success. Resident Coordinators play a key role in two areas: supporting Resident Managers in fostering a positive living environment and providing frontline customer service and administrative support to residents. They also support a team of Resident Advisers in their day-to-day responsibilities. This role focuses on supporting first-year undergraduate students at Waipārūrū Hall. It’s a great opportunity to gain experience in student accommodation, contribute to a supportive community, and develop your professional skills, including event management and delivery. Important: This role requires you to live on-site within the residence, with rent payable for the accommodation. This is a fulltime (37.5 hours per week), permanent position. Our Resident Coordinators work Sunday to Thursday, 12:00pm – 8:00pm during the academic year, with the opportunity for flexible hours in the summer months. Remuneration is $62,400 - $77,800 depending on skills and experience. For more information, please refer to the Position Description. As part of the front line service for Accommodation, you will be friendly, outcome-focused, enthusiastic, with empathy for tertiary students. Experience working within similar educational/support environments is preferred. You will: Have a tertiary qualification in a relevant field Have 4+ years experience in a Business Support or Event Management role Be warm and open while upholding integrity to maintain respectful and inclusive community standards.
