Mō te tūnga | About the Role
Radiology Services at Health New Zealand, Canterbury | Te Whatu Ora, Waitaha provide patient-centred care. The Molecular Imaging & Therapy Department located at Christchurch Hospital provides Radionuclide Imaging, Radio-pharmacy, and Therapy services for primary and secondary care providers from the Canterbury area and from other South Island Hospitals.
We are looking for enthusiastic team players who are interested in joining our team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist in the progressive and rewarding profession of Nuclear Medicine (Molecular Imaging). We have both permanent full-time and permanent part-time positions available, so please indicate your preference in your cover letter.
Days/hours of operation are Monday - Friday from 8 - 4:30 pm with a rostered Radio-pharmacy shift from 7 - 3:30 pm.
Ko wai koe | About You
As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for Radionuclide Imaging, Radio-pharmacy, Radionuclide Therapy Invivo/Invitro Tests, Radionuclide Administration, and Radiation Management.
In this role, you will be required to:

Demonstrate effective interpersonal relationship skills - ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and members of the health care team.
Demonstrate professional responsibility - complying with Health New Zealand Policy and Procedure, relevant codes of practice, health & safety standards, and departmental quality system procedures.
Apply specialist skills in all areas of Nuclear Medicine practice in order to provide the best quality service for our patients, within allocated resources.

It is essential that you have registration with the NZ MRTB (Nuclear Medicine Technologist scope of practice) with a current practicing certificate.
