This has expanded our distribution centre operations significantly resulting in a newly created role of Returns Team Leader to join our Distribution Centre team in Te Rapa, Hamilton.

Job Description

Our Returns department is crucial and have a key part in ensuring returns of products are received, processed and addressed efficiently – delivering a seamless and lasting impression in our overall shopper and customer experience.

Team members handle avariety of customer enquiries around repairs, product returns, performing quality assessment and determining outcomes for the customer returns. They work in with the Customer Services team to handle the reverse logistics portion of the returns process,first party and vendor returns on TheMarket.com, assessing and processing returns before forwarding them on the vendors. This also includes communication with suppliers on first party return warranties.

As the Returns Team Leader, you’ll lead by example, managing and supporting 4x team members to support and implement best practice, ensuring the Returns department team members are trained and skilledhave the necessary skills/experience to complete their roles efficiently. You are rigorous and continuous in pursuit of opportunities available to reduce operating costs and to increase efficiency and productivity throughout the team.

As a Team Leader your primary role will be leading the team responsible for:
Working with management
Working in with the returns team and leading by example
Develop and help operate a network of collect and return service points (Marketpoints) collections and returns as measured by Customer NPS (MPs)
Deliver strong coaching and maintaining productivity of the team to improve individual and team performance
Ensure all approved Health and Safety, Loss Prevention (security) and sustainability initiatives are implemented and maintained
Ensure all appropriate reporting is completed to agreed deadlines.

With a track record of logistics and operational experience, you’re a strong planner with excellent communication skills. You’re also people, team and customer-centricin your approach, you have a strong track record and ability to lead by example; coaching, motivating and people management skills to ensure all projects and daily activities run smoothly to meet all designated KPIs. You have a moderate level of competency working with computers and systems.
