The 160 ha fully irrigated farm runs a stocking rate of approximately 3.5 cows/ha (560 cows peak milked) and has a 50-bail rotary dairy with ALPRO milk monitoring, cup removers and Pro Track.
We are a demonstration farm focused on best practice for the New Zealand dairy industry.
Day to day tasks will vary but likely will be a mixture of: Milking Checking cows for mastitis and other issues Shed hygiene Irrigation requirements Effluent management Feeding out Weed management This is a permanent, full-time role working an average of 45 hours per week on a 5/2 roster based at Lincoln University Dairy Farm, Lincoln.
This role offers a remuneration package from $54,000 base salary per annum plus a clothing allowance of $520 per year.
You will have the option of staying at our farm accommodation or receive a weekly allowance of $300 to stay in your own accommodation.
