Seeking a consultant general diagnostic radiologist for a full-time position in a regional general hospital in New Zealand's North Island. An interest in paediatric or chest radiology would be ideal. Radiology department comprises of four general rooms (includes one room in the Emergency Department), two Toshiba CT scanners, five colour doppler ultrasound machines, a Siemens fluoroscopy suite. A private MRI facility is operational on-site. An on-call component allows a 24-hour acute service, with overnight reporting provided by teleradiology services Radiology Department is staffed by 21 consultant radiologists, 6 registrars, MITs, administration, orderlies and nurses The hospital is a 360 bed public sector general secondary care facility providing 24 hour elective and emergency medical and surgical services. The local tertiary referral centre is Auckland. The Bay of Plenty is a large region along the northern coast of New Zealand's North Island. It stretches 260 kilometres from the Coromandel Peninsula in the west to Cape Runaway in the east. The Bay of Plenty region is home to spectacular beaches, juicy kiwifruit and geothermal wonders.
