Job Title: SAP FICO Functional Testing Consultant
Location: New Zealand (travel to Auckland required)
Contract: 6 months (extendable)

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4 HANA FICO Functional Testing Consultant to support SAP implementation and enhancement initiatives. The role focuses on validating end-to-end Finance and Controlling processes through structured functional testing in S/4 HANA environments. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with business stakeholders and project teams to understand SAP FICO business requirements and functional designs
Create, review, and maintain functional test scenarios, test cases, and test data
Execute Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, UAT, and Regression Testing
Validate end-to-end financial processes including Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, and Order-to-Cash
Track and manage defects using HP ALM / Open Text / Microfocus, ensuring timely resolution and retesting
Work closely with cross-functional teams (MM, SD, etc.) for integration testing
Prepare test execution reports, defect summaries, and testing status updates
Identify testing risks, gaps, and dependencies and escalate issues when required
Support UAT cycles and post-release testing activities Required Skills & Experience
4–5 years of hands-on experience in SAP Functional Testing, preferably in SAP S/4 HANA
Strong SAP S/4 HANA FICO functional knowledge across General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Asset Accounting, Cost & Profit Center Accounting, Internal Orders, and Product Costing
Recent hands-on experience navigating SAP screens, transactions, and T-codes during testing
Experience with SAP module integration (MM, SD, etc.)
Strong understanding of test case design, execution, and defect lifecycle management
Hands-on experience with HP ALM / Open Text / Microfocus
Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Nice to Have
Experience in SAP S/4 HANA implementations or rollouts
Exposure to automation testing tools or SAP testing accelerators
