We are looking for a Senior Learning Designer to join our dynamic Learning Design team at altLAB (AUT's Learning Transformation Laboratory). As a central university service, we cover a broad range of educational practice, which includes innovative pedagogy, curriculum development, assessment, digital learning and scholarship/pedagogical research.
This role relates to the second phase of AUT's Canvas Implementation Project and specifically, the role includes supporting AUT staff with the development of new courses.
Successful applicants will need to be able to hit the ground running, and be able to demonstrate:
experience in creating, and working within, systematic learning design processes at scale
an ability to connect theory and practice in a range of learning design situations and tasks.
evidence of provision of a broad range of learning and teaching support activities including academic consultation and support for assessment design
a proven track record of working with senior academics to achieve outcomes that meet both specific, localised need and the wider requirements of the project/university
sustained experience of working on new course developments within a university ability to align learning design and other educational support work to institutional strategic goals and priorities.
