He Kōrero mō te tūranga – About the Role We are excited to announce an exceptional opportunity for a Clinical Nurse Specialist (Emergency Care) based at Whakatane hospital.
This role is designed to support the successful candidate in gaining Nurse Practitioner accreditation.
Upon successful submission of the required portfolio, a permanent part-time position of 0.6 FTE (24 hours per week) will be offered to the successful candidate.
As part of our Advanced Nursing Pathway in the Emergency Department, you will join our team of existing Nurse Practitioners, Clinical Nurse Specialists, and acute care physiotherapists.
In this role, you will deliver comprehensive patient care across a wide range of presentations, contributing to both care and education within a collaborative and supportive environment.
He korero mōu – About You The preferred candidate we are looking for must have the following: Be a current Clinical Nurse Specialist on the Nurse Practitioner pathway.
Demonstrate a deep understanding of our local community, including the health needs and aspirations of the individuals who present to our service.
Relevant emergency care experience.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
