Responsibilities Role and Responsibilities: Collaborating with our Registered Nurse (RN), you'll ensure the highest standard of care for inmates/detainees, emphasizing safety and security. Develop nursing care plans under RN supervision. Conduct comprehensive physical assessments and medical histories. Provide nursing care within your scope and refer complex issues to physicians. Administer prescribed medications accurately. Monitor patient symptoms and progress; report concerns promptly. Administer medications securely, preventing misuse and trafficking. Adhere to industry and company accreditation standards. Maintain confidential medical records and document all detainee contacts. Qualifications Competencies Required: We value excellent diagnostic skills, patience, and empathy. Our team takes pride in facilitating patients' reintegration into society. Please apply if you meet the following requirements: Minimum Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing program; current, unrestricted LPN license in the facility's state; license maintained on file. Preferred two (2) years of direct clinical experience. Competence in crisis intervention, emergency response, physical and psychiatric assessments, and nursing care. Ability to work independently, performing accurate diagnoses and follow-up treatments. Physical Requirements: Frequently: Lift/carry and push/pull up to 40 lbs.; walk, stand, sit, bend, stoop, and reach above shoulder level. Occasionally: Lift/carry and push/pull up to 60 lbs.; operate machinery; climb as needed.
