We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.  He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role We are seeking a Speciality Clinical Nurse to deliver high-quality, caring and evidence-based care to children, pregnant women, and adults with diabetes, in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. You will need experience / keen interest in Diabetes, have sound clinical assessment skills and nursing knowledge and be able to communicate with a vast number of health professionals as well as provide support to patients and their families. Requirements:Recent clinical experience in diabetes or chronic care conditions managementA post-graduate qualification, preferably in diabetes or long-term condition managementAn ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team as well as autonomously in nurse-led clinicsExcellent interpersonal skills, experience in motivational interviewing and promoting change behaviour in patients Te Whatu Ora Hauora a toi Bay of Plenty is committed to our Te Toi Ahorangi vision of equitable services and health outcomes for Māori.
