Summary Summary: Responsible for accounting duties such as billing, payroll, accounts payable and accounts receivable under the supervision of the Director of Accounting in Hong Kong. The Senior Accountant role needs to work closely with the Accounting Supervisor in Singapore, and the Accounting team in Hong Kong and US. Duties and Responsibilities Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare bills with firm-wide accounting system Payroll preparation, including calculation and submission of salary tax Filing of GST returns Arrange expense reimbursements and suppliers’ payments Cash and bank balance reporting Monitor invoice settlements Handle collection of outstanding bills Handle various tax registration and submission Participate in annual audit of the Singapore office Coordinate new matter opening and conflict search where necessary Any other ad-hoc duties Qualifications Requirements: Education and/or Experience: Diploma/degree in Accounts disciplines Minimum 4 years relevant experience with law firm background is preferred Knowledge in Elite 3 E is an advantage Other Skills and Abilities: Good communication skills, both oral and written in English Detail-minded, reliable and able to work under pressure Excellent organizational skills Excellent attention to detail The use of good judgment and good interpersonal communication skills Well-developed analytical and problem solving skills The ability to work harmoniously and effectively with others as part of a team A self-starter who desires to show ownership and commitment to the job Exercises confidentiality and discretion Strong technological skills, including effective working knowledge of Power Point and Excel Sidley Austin LLP is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
