We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Client Accounting Team in Wellington.

As a Senior Accountant you play a key role in supporting Public Trust to protect the legacies of more New Zealanders than ever before by providing complex professional accounting & tax services for Estates, Trusts, Agencies and Charities.

You will partner with our Trustees ensure provision of professional services and an excellent customer experience.

You will also share your knowledge and experience to develop Accountants within the team.

You will provide high quality complex technical accounting and tax advice to our customers while adhering to compliance requirements.

In some instances you may be required to engage with our customers directly.

You will be a self-starter who looks for continuous improvement opportunities and manages their time and workload effectively.

Ideally you will possess the following attributes: A tertiary qualification or considerable experience in a relevant area such accountancy, taxation, commerce etc.

Chartered Accountant or Associated Chartered Accountant is desirable.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 3 plus years' experience as an Accountant ideally in the Trusts and Estates space Previous chartered accountancy firm experience would be advantageous.

Proven ability to prioritise and meet or exceed targets Experience in Tier 3 and above charity accounting Business advisory service experience Experience in the interpretation of company accounts The ability to have quality conversations with customers (internal and external) Strong planning and administration skills, and comfort with systems and technology Proven ability to train, mentor and motivate others.
