About the team:
Our VMO mission is to partner to provide insight, guidance and tools that facilitate integrated delivery of change and realisation of value and benefits. Within the VMO, the Enterprise Value Management team leads ACC's value and benefit management capability. We are a small, experienced team, we support each other, and are passionate about what we do and the value it adds.
About the role:
Over the last three years ACC has transitioned away from the more traditional waterfall project environment to scaled agile delivery (continuous delivery). This role represents a unique opportunity for someone to experience and learn this way of working and adapt and develop their value and benefit management skillset around this.
As a trusted advisor you will be responsible for ensuring the pre and post-performance of change initiatives properly understood and measured – the 'why' or 'so what?'. You will work with product leaders and teams to help identify and define the impact of our change investment activities within Value Streams, demonstrated through leading and lagging measures that are regularly monitored and recorded.
You will be responsible for ensuring the wider adoption of a value and benefits mindset and practices while encouraging a culture of measurement and learning. You will challenge our value streams to consider the investment logic of ideas to ensure clear understanding the problems and opportunities we are presented with.
You must be comfortable with turning data into intelligence. You will be encouraged to utilise our wealth of data, information, and analytical capability to support problem definition and investment logic, ensuring our value hypotheses can be properly formed, tested and the success measured.
What we are looking for from you to be successful in this role:
Demonstrated experience in value and benefit-led business analysis or data analysis at a Senior level – having a Benefit Management qualification is advantageous e.g. Managing Benefits Foundation or Practitioner level
Investment logic mapping and benefit mapping facilitation experience (desirable)
Ability to work with data and turn it into intelligence e.g. Advanced Excel and data analysis (financial) skills
Well-developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills (being comfortable working with all levels of the organisation)
Sophisticated communication skills in both verbal and written forms
