Role Overview: As a Senior Architect, you will lead the design process from concept to completion, overseeing projects of varying scales, including mid-range homes, townhouse developments, and architecturally driven beach homes. You'll be responsible for translating creative visions into tangible, comprehensive building plans, navigating the complexities of building consent documentation and leading Resource Consent applications. Key Responsibilities: Develop and execute architectural designs for diverse residential projects, maintaining a balance between innovation and practicality. Create detailed drawings, blueprints, and technical documentation to support construction and building consent requirements. Lead the design team, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, engineers, and local authorities, for successful Resource Consent applications. Oversee the construction documentation process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Requirements: Proven experience as an architect in residential construction, with a portfolio showcasing design expertise and successful project completions. Proficiency in architectural software and tools mainly Archi Cad but also (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, etc.). Strong knowledge of New Zealand building codes, regulations, and Resource Consent procedures. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to lead a team and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. A proactive approach, problem-solving skills, and a keen eye for detail.
