The Role We're seeking a Senior Interior Horticulture Technician to join our field team.
Someone with deep technical grounding in indoor plant care and the judgment to work independently across a varied portfolio of high-profile sites.
You'll manage a portfolio of 30 to 50 client sites across the Auckland region on a scheduled route, maintaining the ongoing health of our interior plantscapes, green walls, and living wall installations.
Your professionalism and communication at each site directly shapes how clients experience Green Air, and your expertise sets the standard for the wider team.
What You'll Be Doing The majority of your time is hands‐on plant care and maintenance across client sites.
Alongside that, you'll be building client relationships, mentoring junior technicians, and managing the operational side of your route.
Carrying out scheduled maintenance visits including watering, feeding, pruning, cleaning foliage, and rotating stock to ensure consistent presentation Monitoring plant health proactively: identifying pest activity, disease, light stress, and environmental issues before they escal\at Maintaining and caring for interior green walls, moss walls, and specialty installations Replacing underperforming plants promptly, managing seasonal rotations, and acclimatising new stock from the nursery to client environments Building strong, professional relationships with client contacts and identifying opportunities for additional plant placements or upgrades Mentoring and training junior technicians in plant care, client service, and Green Air standards Managing your route efficiently, completing accurate service reports, and maintaining your company vehicle What You Bring Minimum 3 years' experience in interior plant maintenance or commercial horticulture Strong knowledge of tropical and subtropical plant species used in indoor environments Practical experience with integrated pest management and plant health diagnostics Full New Zealand driver's licence (clean record preferred)Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks including lifting up to 40kg Confident working at heights and with ladder work Self‐motivated with the ability to manage your own time and route effectively Relevant horticultural qualification (NZ Certificate in Horticulture or equivalent)Experience with green wall or living wall installation and maintenance Experience mentoring or supervising junior staff Familiarity with field service management apps Approved Handler certification for agrichemical use (Grow Safe Certificate)Who You Are You take genuine pride in the quality of your work.

You're equally at home working independently across a solo route as you are guiding a less experienced team member through a complex site.
