We’re looking for a Senior Planner to join the Stratum family. The position involves taking the lead in company projects by providing planning and resource management advice and working collaboratively with our Surveyors, Geotechnical Specialists and Engineers to produce quality outcomes for our clients.

You’ll be experienced with resource management including all manners of the consenting processes and will be comfortable liaising with regional and local government authorities, clients and other involved stakeholders. The role will include managing small to larger scale projects from inception through to completion.

The position will be split across our Te Puke and Tauranga offices, with most of your work being in the Bay of Plenty area.

We’re looking for candidates with the following skills and attributes:

Ideally 7+ years of New Zealand consultancy based experience

Full Member, or ability to obtain full membership of the New Zealand Planning Institute

Experience in land development and subdivision processes

Strong client relationship and communication skills

In depth knowledge of national legislation and local requirements

Effective and efficient report and application writing skills

Team player that thrives in a collaborative environment
