Te āheinga - The opportunity We are excited to announce a newly created role in our Digital Enablement Team: Solutions Architect.
This role is integral to supporting our Digital Strategy by navigating the complexities of digital transformation, making informed decisions, and fostering innovation within the organization.
As a Solutions Architect, you will evaluate the business needs of the organisation and determine how technology can be used to deliver or support solutions.
You will create detailed plans and budgets for IT architecture and manage the implementation of those plans.
This role requires a strategic thinker who can drive digital innovation and ensure our technology solutions align with our business objectives.
Tino takohanga - Key responsibilities Analyse existing systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and alignment with the digital strategy.
Design appropriate and fit for purpose IT solutions that integrate seamlessly with existing systems and align with the overall enterprise ecosystem.
Evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools.
Ensure solutions fit into the existing enterprise architecture from technical, business, and user perspectives.
Lead the technical delivery of key projects, ensuring end-to-end solutions.
Plan delivery, estimate costs, and manage technical debt.
Align IT solutions with enterprise architecture and champion industry standard technology practices.
Ensure technology is scalable, secure, and compliant.
Maintain cyber maturity by continuously assessing and evaluating the organisation's security posture against industry standards and best practices.
Develop risk-based strategies to address gaps and improve overall resilience, considering technology, processes, and human factors.
Identify potential risks and propose risk-mitigation strategies.
Stay informed and understand emerging technologies and their impacts.
Resolve major operational incidents and guide problem management.
Ngā tino pūkenga me ngā wheako - Essential skills and experience Tertiary qualification in information technology or related discipline.
At least 10 years in a senior IT systems role.
Extensive experience in developing strategic systems architecture plans.
Hands-on experience with business requirements gathering/analysis.
Proven experience in systems and network design and development.
Strong understanding of information processing principles and practices.
Solid grounding in core enterprise applications.
In-depth technical knowledge of network, device, and platform operating systems, including Windows, i OS, Android, Cisco, and Fortinet.
Working technical knowledge of modern systems software, protocols, and standards.
Strong knowledge of software evaluation principles and practices.
Proven project planning and management experience.
Good knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.
