Storeperson Dunedin Salary between $61,177 and $66,552 per annum Centrally located Monday to Friday Permanent, fulltime 1.0 FTE position (40 hours per week) Multiple positions available An exciting opportunity has become available for experienced store people to join our newly established Distribution Centre within our National Supply Chain.

Mō te tūranga | About the role This is a newly established role and will allow the successful applicants to make the role their own.

The Storeperson will receive and accurately pick and pack inventory items for order fulfilment.

You will conduct cycle counts and participate in stock takes, rotate inventory to prevent obsolescence and securely pack items for dispatch.

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): Receive, inspect, and verify incoming goods to store.

Ensuring proper storage, handling techniques and methods are followed.

Pick, pack and prepare orders for distribution to hospitals and healthcare facilities.

Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, stock movements and expiration dates.

Replenishment of goods into store following all guidelines.

Perform regular inventory cycle counts and audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards.

Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks, safely and efficiently.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to fulfil urgent or special requests for medical supplies and consumables.

Follow safety guidelines and procedures for handling of hazardous materials and controlled substances.

Assist in the disposal of expired and or damaged inventory in accordance with organisational policies and guidelines.

Have previous experience with inventory management or warehouse management systems.

Encourage and promote ideas for continual improvement within the role.

The ability to productively work in a cooperative team environment and to show the initiative to work unsupervised.

Demonstrate an ability and willingness to learn products and supplies pertinent to the health environment and handling of dangerous goods.

Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role.

Utu whānui |Salary range This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the PSA South Island Clerical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and the salary will be in accordance with the National Health Administration Workers Pay Scale, Band 2 between Step 1 $61,177 and Step 3 $66,552 p.a.

pro rata dependant on relevant experience.
