This role will provide you with a challenging and rewarding career where you'll be exposed to a wide variety of tax issues and clients.
You'll work closely with a Partner and an Associate Director to effectively service a varied client base of companies, trusts, HNWIs, expatriates, limited partnerships and subsidiaries of MNCs across many industry sectors.
While you'll be completing significant core compliance work, a wide and varied client base ensures no two days will be the same.
Key Responsibilities Manage a portfolio of compliance clients Pro-actively manage client relationships Coach and mentor junior team members Prepare and review tax returns Prepare and review tax balances for financial reporting purposes Liaise with Inland Revenue including preparing responses to risk reviews or audits and assisting with the resolution of tax disputes Background, Skills and Experience To be successful, you'll ideally be an Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Manager with adequate NZ tax experience.
You'll have a relevant accounting qualification and be either CA qualified or working towards your qualification.
You'll have 3-5 years tax experience in a tax environment.
You may come from a professional services firm or have a corporate tax background.
