Want to bring ideas to life? What's the mahi? As an experienced Civil Engineer based in our Tamaki Makaurau Auckland office, you will be a vital part of the Land and Water Service Group who are changing the way we design and deliver major works to be carbon neutral and sustainable.

Your role will include: Leading the design for a variety of Civil and Water (urban development, horizontal infrastructure, streetscaping, and revitalisation) projects across Auckland and Aotearoa, Applying your local industry experience to solving our clients' problems, Leading the conversion of analyses and preliminary design ideas into developed designs suitable for tender and construction, Communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders using a range of methods, including written analyses and reports, Bringing your client-centric focus to deliver outstanding client service, stakeholder engagement, and developing new business using your existing industry networks, Applying your project management and people leadership skills to achieve positive financial outcomes for Aurecon, and technically-sound outcomes for our chosen clients.

As a senior member of the team, you will drive deep professional relationships with our clients as we strive to provide exceptional service and negotiate repeat work with our chosen clients.

You will guide, interact, and collaborate with our multidisciplinary teams as we work with our clients to understand their objectives and vision, and work to achieve their goals and create new communities.

We look for people who have had a broad range of experiences throughout their career and can demonstrate how they have worked as part of a team to bring ideas to life.

As well as at least 15 years of experience in a similar consultancy-based role (preferably within New Zealand), the ideal candidate will possess the following: A relevant tertiary qualification such as a Bachelor of Civil Engineering or Environmental Engineering Extensive general civil design experience across projects such as roads, carparks, earthworks, land development, drainage, utility services design, and pavement design Expertise in design software such as Civil 3 D or 12 D Strong interpersonal and intercultural skills Ability to work with and lead multidiscipline teams to solve our clients' problems and deliver successful project outcomes Proven experience engaging with clients, sub-consultants, and contractors As a Technical Director, you will very likely hold Chartered Professional Engineer status with Te Ao Rangahau / Engineering New Zealand.
