Mōu | About you As our Platform Manager Application, you will hold responsibilities in two key areas: People and Application Database Platforms.
It's an exciting challenge where you'll be.
One of the critical aspects of this role will be leading a highly skilled national team within Digital Enterprise Services through a transition from legacy application databases to a modern, nationally planned database platform.
Helping our team members map out their career paths from the past to the future is essential to ensure they are fully engaged and supportive during this transition.
You'll also be making important decisions regarding investment choices, timing, commitment, and execution.
Overcoming obstacles and ensuring we make the right choices at the right time is pivotal.
Additionally, transitioning work from other teams into this space to improve overall efficiency is a crucial aspect.
We're aiming for our programs, projects, investments, and initiatives to align with the right objectives and avoid perpetuating outdated practices.
Leadership in our Application Database platform capabilities, including people, processes, and tools/technologies, will be vital to our success.
We're focused on simplifying our support processes through standardisation, which will free up resources for further innovation and quicker delivery of solutions on our platforms, ultimately reducing time-to-value.
This role is integral to creating a culture of connectivity and continuous improvement, ensuring that our systems and services meet customer expectations and service levels.
You'll play a key role in shaping our Data & Digital strategy and advocating for your domain at our Digital Enterprise Services leadership table.
Ultimately, your leadership will have a direct impact on how our customers perceive our services, as you guide the Application Database platform teams to deliver high availability and meet their service needs.
We're also committed to ensuring equitable platform investments, especially in smaller and rural locations, to promote fair service development and deployments.
Preference will be given to applications of significantly affected Kaimahi through the change process.
Ngā pūkenga me ngā wheako | Skills and experience ICT / Technology professional with proven senior leadership experience and proven track record of leading large, complex mission-critical Information Technology environment(s) e.g., health, telecommunications, or public utility Minimum 10 years' ICT experience in ICT.
Needs to draw on extensive experience in varied environments, stretching over 12 years.
In-depth practical understanding of running 24 x 7 IT operational management, technology lifecycle management and infrastructure planning and operations Experience with executive and board level engagement, reporting and facilitation Experience in creating and managing an environment of continuous improvement and managing people across multiple disciplines Experience in successfully managing remote teams and lifting engagement and performance Ka kawea e koe | You will bring: A commitment to being a good Te Tiriti partner in all your actions.
