MIT is a Business Division of Te Pukenga, bringing together on-the-job, campus and online vocational education. Together with 16 Institutes of Technology and Polytechnics and 9 Industry Training Organisation our purpose is learning with purpose helping New Zealand move to a vocational education system that puts akonga, learners in the centre. We are on a journey and this role is crucial to that journey.Ko te turanga mahi | About the role:Over the past seven years MIT has expanded its activities in developing pathways for secondary school students to have earlier access to vocational education and training, while at the same time continuing their NCEA study at school.We seek an Administrator to support the planning and execution associated with MIT's Secondary Tertiary Interface Programmes.There will be a variety of tasks including: an annual timeline of activities, planning, preparing costing, preparation of contracts, memos and reports, the preparation, processing and checking of school registration forms, secondary student enrolments, transfers, withdrawals and the coordination of the workflow of other Pathways and Transition Staff.This a key role where no two days are the same.Moku ake | About you:You will need to provide high attention to detail, excellent customer service, think on your feet and be a good problem solver.To be successful you will need: Sound administration experience supported by a relevant qualification Great communication skills both verbal and written Knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes is idealExperience juggling and prioritising with great organisation skillsA can-do attitudeIn return you will enjoy:Working with a dynamic motivated teamOpportunities for professional development and career progressionHealth and Wellbeing discounts such as gym membership and access to our onsite campus services, such as library, cafés, floristry and hairdressing discountsAt Manukau Institute of Technology (MIT) we are proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
