About the role Are you ready for a change, to use your expertise, learn new skills and gain the satisfaction of shaping the future of your industry? We are looking for an Academic Staff Member role to teach on our Level 5 Rural Animal Technology Programme. We provide kaiako training, so you'll be ready to share your up-to-date experience and skill with students. It means they get the very latest industry information and practices, and you could be a part of something that is bigger than just work. You will also get to collaborate on new qualification development with other business divisions in the Te Pukenga network, through the programme unification process. This is a full-time permanent position, working 37.5 hours per week. Are you an ideal candidate? You'll be a fully qualified industry professional with several years' experience. You will also hold at least a Level 6 related qualification; this role could also be ideal for a veterinarian or vet tech looking for a career change. Teaching experience would be a bonus. If you love what you do and you have excellent communication skills, tutoring at Wintec could be your best career move. Be involved in something more fulfilling than just going to work – nurturing and guiding eager minds as they create their pathway towards being rural vet techs. You will have expertise in animal health procedures, farming and pasture systems, and rural animal disease management and prevention, as well as animal anatomy and physiology knowledge.
