Your Impact:
Reporting to the Product Development Manager and based at our Auckland office, you will work closely with our Product Development team, managing the technical development and delivery of the Infant Nutrition programme, consisting of multiple projects across ANZ, China, and other markets. You will be responsible for developing new products, reformulating existing products, and initiating cost-saving measures. This role requires you to provide technical and formulation guidance, ensuring compliance with relevant market regulatory requirements and internal standards.
More specifically, you will be involved in:
Lead and coordinate the technical development and delivery of all Infant Nutrition projects.
Manage the development and commercialisation of new non-infant nutritional powder products.
Provide technical guidance to third-party development and commercialisation teams.
Conduct in-house development of formulations, ensuring market compliance and COGS targets are met.
Coordinate ingredient sourcing, product trials, validation testing, and first production.
Collaborate with the Science, Regs, and HCP teams to explore new ingredients and technologies.
Conduct competitor reviews and provide recommendations to support future innovation plans.
Develop solutions for product technical challenges and execute mitigation plans.
Lead scale-up trial preparation, product trials, and first production as required.
Maintain all Infant Nutrition product specifications and glossaries.
What You Will Bring:
Experience in the formulation, development, and delivery of dairy-based infant nutrition and nutritional powders across multiple markets is essential.
Degree qualified in Food Technology, Food Science, Nutrition, or other related science degree.
Ability to provide technical advice and expertise on new ingredients, new technologies, product formulation, and factory scale-up.
Solid track record of product delivery, analytical and problem-solving, and delivering outcomes/results with agility.
Ability to partner with and influence a wide range of internal & external stakeholders.
High attention to detail and delivers reliably.
Commercially focused & comfortable with a fast-paced culture.
Ability to deal with ambiguity.
Driven to deliver results, decisive, and adaptable.
Team player, results-oriented, with strong influencing skills.
Ability to challenge & not accept the status quo.
