Responsibilities
Train the next generation of Quantity Surveying graduates.
Deliver programmes in China through partnership with Ara.
Support Quantity Surveying courses at SZJ University in China.
Teach Chinese Learners alongside a team of Quantity Surveying tutors.
Conduct research ethically in accordance with Ara's Policies.
Ensure a healthy working and learning environment within the department and teaching spaces.
Minimum Requirements
A Bachelor or higher qualification in the area of the programme of study or a related discipline (Diploma qualification can be considered where it is supported by relevant industry experience).
Current industry/discipline knowledge.
An Ara-recognised teaching qualification (appointee will be required to obtain an appropriate qualification within three years of appointment if not already held).
A high level of understanding and experience in the knowledge and practices related to the Programme of Study.
Knowledge and competency in the use of relevant tools (hardware and software) used in Industry for taught courses.
Vision, innovation, and a commitment to facilitating own and others' learning.
Capable of supporting students to achieve their learning outcomes.
The ability to develop and implement flexible teaching and learning methods, including the use of learning technologies.
The ability to integrate practices supporting societal priorities into teaching.
Time management skills, including effective administration, organisation, and coordination of activities.
Engagement with assessment and feedback processes.
Collaborative and cooperative work ethic, contributing to teams.
Recognises and values diversity (cultural, socioeconomic, age, ability).
Passionate about the industry and the field of practice related to the Programme of Study.
