Putaruru College is seeking a full-time, permanent teacher of technology, specializing in hard materials, to join our well-resourced and growing department.
Experience or background in engineering would be advantageous but is not essential for the role.
The position is available to start at the beginning of term 3 or as soon as possible thereafter, by negotiation.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to work independently and collaboratively to develop the department.
Applicants should have a high level of digital competency and familiarity with technology processes. There will be opportunities to engage in project-based teaching, emphasizing student-centered learning.
While New Zealand teacher registration and certification are preferred, they are not mandatory at the application stage; however, the successful applicant must obtain these before starting.
The terms, conditions, and salary are governed by the Secondary Teachers’ Collective Agreement. The salary range for trained and registered teachers is from $66,000 to $95,000, depending on qualifications and experience. The final salary will be determined through a salary assessment once the role is confirmed.
