Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer - United Kingdom (Remote)
Job Description:
We're seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between remote work and onsite presence , suitable for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.
Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and collaborate with technical experts committed to impactful work. Help build and maintain the nation's critical infrastructure, ensuring connectivity and protection 24/7.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
- Prepare technical designs of complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings, including specifications
- Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
- Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
- Apply design standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
- Perform MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts
Candidate Profile:
Ideal candidates will have experience designing signalised junctions and crossings, seeking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role, with fresh perspectives on Traffic Signal Design solutions.
Key Requirements:
- Proficiency in Auto CAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, Auto TURN software
- Microsoft Office skills
- Knowledge of TOPAS 2500 A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
- Experience with MOVA Tools, Datasets, and Linking
- Familiarity with Lin Sig 3
- Full UK Driving Licence
