St Mary's College is a multi-cultural state-integrated girls’ Catholic secondary school (Y9–13) located in central Wellington with a roll of approximately 550 students.
An opportunity exists for a committed and proactive faith leader to join our community at the start of term 2, 2025 as the Director of Religious Studies (DRS). The purpose of this role is to promote and nurture the Catholic special character of the school. The DRS is a member of our Senior Leadership Team.

lead and inspire staff and rangatahi in an inclusive manner
support the HOLA RE in the delivery of the Religious Education curriculum
build culturally responsive and relational practices in our college
build connections with our wider community
This is a full-time permanent Cl47 tagged Special Character Position. Your willingness and ability to participate in religious education appropriate to the special character of the school will be a condition of appointment.
The successful applicant will be a registered teacher and will be expected to teach classes in Religious Studies. Please state other teaching subjects in your application.
The position will be available from the beginning of term 2, 2025 (Monday 28 April).
